Miami, FL - January 19, 2006 - Maverick Entertainment Group's (MEG) latest Platinum DVD release "This Thing Of Ours", a Sopranos-like New Jersey mob flick, is set to hit the stores with a BANG on March 7, 2006. Written, starring and directed by filmmaker Danny Provenzano, "This Thing Of Ours" features a stellar cast that includes James Caan (The Godfather), Sopranos stars Frank Vincent (The Sopranos, Goodfellas, Casino), Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos), Edward Lynch (The Exorcist III) and Chuck Zito (Oz).

In the film, Nicholas Santini, played by Provenzano, is a young man trying to earn his "button" as a full-fledged member of a New Jersey-based crime family, better known as The Mob. Trying to impress his notorious elders, including his influential Uncle Danny (played by Frank Vincent), he schemes up a spectacular robbery that has the potential to make millions. Nick conspires with a computer genius from the old neighborhood in Brooklyn to plant a modified computer chip on a communications satellite that will allow him to siphon off spare change from several million bank accounts. But his Internet bank scam leads to a fateful meeting when Nick is forced to choose between loyalty to his friends and a promotion within the organization. Or...a death verdict for one of their own.

Bonus DVD features include exclusive music video featuring Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry in mock dramatic re-enactments spoofing the original Godfather film, 5.1 surround sound, interactive menus, scene selections, and trailers. The film's soundtrack, produced by music industry veteran Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, The Who, John Lennon), features new original music by Cheap Trick, Slash from Guns 'N Roses, and a musical score that includes the guitar of Aerosmith's Joe Perry.
