Storyline
Follow the true story of the Florida Highwaymen, 26 self-taught African American artists who forged their own path to success in the segregated 1950's and 60's. Their stories are guided by the mentorship of renowned landscape painters A.E. Backus, Alfred Hair, and Harold Newton. Their troupe captured Florida's breathtaking landscapes and sold their paintings along state highways, circumventing the traditional art world that excluded them.

- Julian Horton is an American actor, producer, and former NFL player who transitioned into film and television in the late 2010s. He made his acting debut in The House Invictus (2018) and has since appeared in projects like National Champions, Black Spartans, Legacies (CW), Ruined (BET) and Bruh (BET). In 2024, he gained wider recognition as Roy Bellarie in Tyler Perry's Netflix series Beauty in Black.
- Ashani Roberts is a trained actress and writer specializing in complex characters and bringing depth and humanity to every role she inhabits. A graduate of acting programs at Ivana Chubbuck and Speiser/Sturges in L.A., she has built a diverse TV and film career with recurring roles in Saints & Sinners (Bounce TV), P-Valley (STARZ), American Soul (BET), Star (FOX), and Average Joe (BET).
- Johnell Young is an American actor known for his breakout role as GZA in the Hulu series Wu Tang: An American Saga—a defining role that captures the founding spirit of the iconic rap group. Young began his career in 2017 with a supporting role in All Eyez on Me and soon appeared in the BET anthology Tales and the indie film Making Moves, before cementing his reputation as a rising talent. Since then, he's appeared in projects such as A Holiday Chance (2021), Blind Currency, and Secret Society 2: Never Enough. He also had a recurring role in the 2023 series Kold x Windy (Allblk). Johnell is set to star in the suspense thriller End Zone, and he's also cast as J'Von Dorsey in AMC's upcoming series D.O.P.E Unit.
- Kelvin Hair III is an actor and model from Atlanta who transitioned from modeling and real estate to acting after connecting with Tyler Perry's team in 2019. He has appeared in Black Lightning, Sistas, Ruthless, and Secret Society 2, building a growing career in film and TV.
- Daniel Augustin is a Haitian-American actor, director, and musician known for his roles in How I Met Your Father (Hulu) and Rap Sh!t (Max). He has also appeared in Grey's Anatomy, David Makes Man, and Wu-Tang: An American Saga. Alongside his wife, he co-founded Augustin Productions and created the series Kinfolk, featured at Tribeca's 2022 Creators Market. Augustin continues to create, perform, and advocate for representation in film and music.
